Vege curry was rubbish. Frozen carrots and peas with 2 pieces of pepper in the curry sauce 😕I do not recommend. Not even sure whether the sauce was fresh because after some time wasn't feeling well.

Great Indian. Best I've been to in Bp. The sound of the chef singing in the kitchen is a bonus :)

Veg food is awesome here.. Tried many times and never had a complaint! Authentic Indian food. :)

Awesome food, just like the Indian restaurants in London!

Emlékezetes izék, kedves kiszolgálás családias környezetben. Több india vendég is volt, ami jelzi a színvonalat.

Truly the best Indian food I ever had and so far also the best Indian food I had here in Budapest.
I ordered the Sahi Paneer dish several times and one time I ate in the restaurant itself. Both the dish itself and the garlic naan bread are so tasty and even thinking back about the dish makes my mouth water haha. Truly the kind of dish that makes you want to lick your fingers to finish the last bits of sauce😅
I ate here with a friend of mine, he also really really loved the food. I personally think that the interior could be improved to make it a bit more appealing to eat there and then it can become an immensely popular restaurant in my opinion. I really recommend going here, I’d give it 10 stars if I could 🥰 All the spices in the dish and the consistency of the dishes and the naan bread, make it really tasty and I can’t get enough of the food here!

India Gate restaurant is very good restaurant in Budapest for Indian foods. Food taste was amazing. Feel like Indian food taste.

Probably the best Indian meal we’ve had outside the UK! Four mains, two sides, rice and bread all excellent.

My favorite indian restaurant. The same as I had in India before. Sometimes it needs some time, but worth it!

We had dinner here on a Wednesday night in mid October. We dined alfresco. The woman who served us seemed extremely upset but after being told that they were out of naans, dahl, pakoras, and Cobra beers we could understand why. We started with pompadoms which were quite yummy. I ordered the chicken Madras which was good and my wife ordered the chicken kadhi which was excellent. Based on the food they did have we wish we could have tried more.

I would totally recommend this place if you are around corvin area!
Service was also good and no waiting time for the table.

We weren’t expecting much when we first went to this restaurant, as we were just looking for something close to our hotel. However we were blown away with the quality and excellence of the food. The waitress was really sweet and friendly. The food was so good that we went there the following night for dinner. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious, and I would highly recommend the mango chicken curry dish. An amazing find in Budapest!

Came here with my partner just after new year after seeing the place on here. Best decision I made!! Food was wonderful, the waitress was quick and food was beautiful! Prices good as well! Would come back here again no problem!

When we arrived we were the only ones in the restaurant, we did debate staying as it’s not usually a great sign when a place is empty. I am so pleased we stayed to eat as the food was delicious and the lady who served us was lovely.
The food is really reasonably priced and if I found myself in the area again I would definitely go back!

We ate delicious food there! We were the only one in the restaurant first but still the service was quite slow. But the food was very good 😊😊

This is a little local restaurant near to where we stay when in Budapest. The food is as good as ever. The service is good and worth the wait as the food tastes freshly made. It's great value too.

We just came back from the dinner yesterday and remembered again why this is one of the best valued restaurants in the city.
This restaurant is in our neighborhood and we often visit it because the food is simply delicious every time we go, there is no difference between any other more expensive Indian restaurant in the city, I would say it is even better from all we have visited.
The atmosphere is cosy and domestic, the restaurant is led by the girl who is waitress and the Indian chef in the kitchen. Because she is the only staff there, and the food is prepared only by chef when you order it, it is possible that you will wait for the food a bit longer, but it's worth!

After 4 nights of Hungarian food we thought we would look for something a little different. The India Gate restaurant was close to our hotel so we decided to try it. What a gem. As other reviews have noted, the food is wonderful. And we had good service - it took a little while for dishes to be delivered but they were very freshly prepared and tasty. Less than 30 Euros for drinks, breads, rice, and two plates - the Palak Paneer was great.

We are regular patrons of this lovely little jewel of a restaurant since they first opened a few years ago. We started coming here when they first opened and were regulars because we lived in the area. Although we have moved to a different part of town we still keep coming here because they serve the best authentic indian food in Budapest by far.

We go to this place quite often, the best Indian in Budapest, with a really nice atmosphere. Owned by a couple, he is the chef (actually from India), sometimes you can hear him singing whilst cooking, and she is everything front of house. When we discovered the place ages ago, they hardly had any guests, now they are really busy - I think she would need some help and quite often the whole place is full and a couple of times parts of the order were forgotten. This is the best curry I have eaten (and I have eaten curry in India and also all over the UK), and by far the best naan.
